Raised in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains, Whitten enjoys being outdoors and having a sense of adventure. Many of her past clients will tell you that she is personable, energetic, unafraid to do what it takes to get the perfect shot, and likely to have a favorite tree at every location.

Whitten’s approach to photography is relating with her clients and trying to make them laugh. She lends a helping hand whenever she can and is often seen making sure her clients have everything they need. She wants everyone to be comfortable with her to ensure a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Whitten’s favorite part of photography is getting to see the interactions with her clients and their friends and family. From first looks to capturing a loved one’s joy, the small moments are what she lives for.

When not behind the lens, Whitten can be found hiking with her dogs, reading a book, checking out a new brewery or winery, or exploring her local City of Richmond.
